CAN-SPAM Violation: TJ Web Productions Must Pay $465,000 Fine And Perform Additional Actions for 5 Years

Yesterday the U.S. FTC and Department of Justice jointly announced a $465,000 penalty against TJ Web Productions for violating the CAN-SPAM Act.

This is one of seven companies that were charged in July 2005 with violating CAN-SPAM by sending sexually explicit e-mail. Settlements with five of the operations have resulted in civil penalties totaling $1.624 million.

The FTC judgment contains the details.

In addition to the fine, for which the owners are personally responsible and could lose their property, or worse, if not paid, TJ Web Productions must submit several different types of documents over the next five years to the FTC to demonstrate their compliance and existence of appropriate procedures to support compliance.

I am living in united kingdom in Bradford and i have halifax current account, For 4 months i have debit every months at least 21.05 pound @ 39.99 USD@1.899

Debit collection company name is show in my statments Tj Web Productions 661-705-3860 US.

I do not know why i have every month debit my account the above amount and as company i have written the name above.

Please can you fined me the Tj Web Productions US.

TJ Web Productions was, and perhaps still is, a limited liability company (LLC) out of Nevada, USA.

If you cannot get in touch with TJ Web Productions directly about your charges, try contacting the lawyers who were involved in their prosecution; their contact information is located in the judgment, at the end of the document, located at http://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/0523047/050720comp0523047.pdf.
