Don't Be A Dodo; Follow Privacy Requirements!

I just ran across a privacy law non-compliance fine news report from Australia that was published October 22, 2008...

"Dodo pays penalty for calling numbers on the Do Not Call Register"

Dodo Australia Pty Ltd paid a penalty of $147,400 after the Australian Communications and Media Authority charged them for making telemarketing calls to numbers on the Do Not Call Register.

This is the largest penalty paid since the Australian Do Not Call Register legislation took effect in May 2007.

If you have customers in Australia, are you following this, and all their other data protection and privacy laws?
