Give a Hoot, Don't Privacy Pollute!

I just saw a term that can be used really well with non-technical folks, "data pollution."

I wish I had thought of that term!

"Data Pollution Dangers Grow Despite Payment Card Industry Regulations"

The term conveys well to business leaders that if you don't keep track of personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive information, that it basically becomes tossed to the side in inappropriate places and lost...until someone else comes along and exploits it without the company's knowledge, something bad happens and is reported in the news.
