Obtaining Support and Funding from Senior Management

Throughout the late spring and summer months I had the great opportunity to participate in an talented workgroup sponsored and led by the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) to create a new, and quite valuable, resource for information security practitioners to help them obtain funding and sponsorship for the training and awareness programs.

This new document, "Obtaining support and funding from senior management" provides some good advice and resources to use when trying to fund information security and privacy awareness and training.

I participated as a reviewer in the group, but did provide one section within the report; "Obtaining support and funding from senior management."

Also participating in the workgroup were a couple of fine and talented information security folks I've have the privilege to know for the past few years, Brian Honan and Dr. Gary Hinson.
